The Farm
Flying TM Ranch is 80+ acres located along the Chautauqua Ridge in the heart of Chautauqua County. My name is Tiffany and I have been working with draft crosses for several years now. I focus on breeding and raising quality draft cross foals with an emphasis on temperament and versatility. My goal is to produce colts that have the bone substance to handle the hard work, and are light enough to be truly athletic. Color is just a bonus! I have several grow outs on the farm for you to meet!
Fundamentals
Here at Flying TM I strongly feel its important for horses to be horses. God created horses perfectly , for the enviroment they were designed to live in. I strive to replicate that to the best of my ability. I have found that horses living out in a herd as much as possible have less behavioral issues, sounder minds and are generally healthier. Foals learn so much from the social interactions of a herd that humans just can not replicate! All my foals will have herd exposure at their Dams side. I do imprint foals at birth, but have found it ‘sticks’ so much better after they learn to communicate in the herd!
All foals will have basic handling before going to their new homes, halter training and picking up their feet. Of course babies will be babies, but I do my best to set them up for success! Payment Plans are available until your foal is ready to wean, most foals can be weaned by 4 months, I will hold foals longer if it is in their best interest. Foals can also be boarded past weaning per owners request. All veterinary inspections are welcome at the buyers expense, I will vaccinate foals for tetanus at 3 months and deworm them. Any additional vaccinations/bloodwork/health certificate will be at the cost and discretion of the buyer. I will happily facilitate with my farm vet Tim Rice, or the vet of your choosing. I can also help arrange hauling and have a few responsible and reasonable truckers I have worked with in the past. I will always recommend foals be hauled loose in a box stall setup- on a clean load. You, are of course welcome to pick up foals personally as well.
